This first week back to school has been so weird..

  • I love my Biology class, despite the fact that it’s at 8:AM. It’s only two days out of the week so I’m sure I’ll be able to handle it, but I don’t really know how I’ll deal with the days when I have to work right after.
  • I haven’t even been to my computer graphics class yet (my professor’s in the hospital). I got the syllabus though & it seems easy enough. For example- one of the class objectives is to learn how to turn fractions into decimals. Seriously? Isn’t that basic math.. why would anybody not already know how to do that?
  • For some reason a lot of random people have been asking me for directions around the campus. How can they tell that I know? I feel pretty bad, but at the same time it’s so funny bcus these people are hella stressed out that they don’t know where their next class is. I always help them though of course.

Okay & speaking of being stressed out, having an awful teacher shouldn’t be something you have to stress over during your time at college. So for those of you who haven’t yet started your classes go to ratemyprofessors.com to help you get into classed with better teachers. Obviously not every teacher will be on there so you’ll have to try your luck with some classes, but at least it will help you avoid those teachers who are complete assholes. It takes a lot of time to read reviews over a bunch of teachers to find the one that’s just right, but it’s way worth it (at least in my experience). Just a little College 101 tip :)

I know that my summer break already started, but not until today has it really hit me that I’m free! I haven’t been able to enjoy my break so far because I’ve been so preoccupied with worrying about my grades. All of my teachers got my grades in on time except for one, which was no surprise.. he’s always late when it comes to well, anything. Finally though, three days late, he posted my grade & I got a B!! プラスル(顔) It’s not that great, but I was expecting a C- sooo yeah I’m pretty satisfied with a B. The rest were A’s (sorry for bragging, but I’m really excited) ハム太郎

So aside from waiting for my grades, my summer’s actually been productive;

☆ I got my permit! (lol & my dad did too). I have to wait for it to come in the mail though. . . so I still can’t open a new bank account for my shop ぼー

☆ My sister-in-law and I went job hunting together on Wednesday. I have an interview at the Disney Store! I only applied there and at Lacoste, but I’m going to look for some more jobs on Monday. Wouldn’t it be great to work at the Disney Store though?! ミッキー・ミニーきらきら

☆ I got some boring school stuff out of the way~ that’s always a relief.

☆ umm.. then played A LOT of Rock Band. haha I guess that’s where the productivity ends エヘヘッ

I can’t wait to get a job though! I love not having to stress about money + I really want to take a vacation in California soon つばき

I am officially on summer break! Soo happy, but I won’t feel relieved until I see my grades… kinda nervous~ Whatever, at least the semester is over. Good luck to everyone who still has exams ahead きら

Firstly~ thank you everyone for your comments about my sickness. I’m all better, woohoo! It feels great to eat again ご飯ラブ

I just wanted to write very quickly to say hi. Hopefully Peter & I go out tomorrow. I want to eat some sushi! 恵方巻き I also need to stop by this little Japanese shop. If we go I’ll be sure to post pictures just to tease you all ウインク

Here’s some boring news about school. You can tune out now if you don’t want to read it (I won’t mind~ I know school is lame). So I want to get into the Veterinary program at my school, but it only accepts 20 people per year! & I have to finish all of my prerequisite classes before I apply. I’ll be finished in time to apply so that I’m able to start the program next fall. However I’ve been thinking, “what if I don’t get accepted?” I’ll have to wait an entire year before I can try again! That would SUCK and hopefully that doesn’t happen, but if it does I’ll need a back up plan. guess what my back up is. . . WEB DESIGN! にゃ I’d be able to earn a “certificate of achievment” in Graphic Technology - Web Design Emphasis easily within the year that I’m wait to reapply for the vet program. I would just take the year off, but I’d lose my scholarship if I did so whole web design thing would be great. lol maybe then I’d actaully be able to create a layout that’s compatible with Explorer. I really hope I just get  into the vet program right away though! ah~ thinking about school stresses me outためいき

Man what a week I’ve had マフラー+(・へ・) I’ve been buried in school work, got food poisoning & sora’s been so upset with me because he hasn’t been the center of my attention (I’ve been too busy taking care of Peter, who also go food poisoning, and myself). Oh and by the way I’ve been trying to read everyone’s blogs when I find free time & comment if I can, but it’s been hard because my laptop is breaking down as well ぼー

anyway the worst of it all is the food poisoning 風邪ひき Along with the disgusting symptoms that come with it, I also got a fever that was on and off all day yesterday. I’m still recovering, but I feel much better にゃ

Because food poisoning is so awful, here are some helpful hints I’ve put together incase you ever get it too. Food poisoning is one of those thing that just has to run it’s course, but these are some things that should help it go by more easily.

Staying Hydrated // What to drink?

Drink lots of water! Chances are you’ll puke it out, but that’s fine. It should help clear out the bacteria anyway. With all of the vomiting, you’ll easily become dehydrated.. so make sure to replace any lost liquids with water. Dehydration will only make your condition worse.

Oh delicious grapefruit juice. SYKE! I hate it, but it’s crazy healthy. It’s packed with vitamin C which helps to support the immune system & has tons of other health benefits. & make sure you get the juice. It’s easier for your body to digest.

Green tea for me! haha sorry I just had a sudden urge to make a rhyme. anyway. . green tea is great and, unlike grapefruit juice, is actually tasty. It’s known to kill bacteria (i.e. the bacteria that causes food poisoning). Drink decaffeinated if you’re able to, but regular won’t hurt either.

Not hungry? Too bad.

This will be hard, but it’s very necessary to keep up your energy. You can’t just eat anything though.

Eat dry foods. They’re easier to chew thoroughly and therefore easier to throw up. (sorry, too gross?) I’ve been eating a lot of pretzels and veggies sticks. yumm

Eat yogurt too I guess. I haven’t eaten any, but I’ve read that it helps treat the damage done by the bacteria. The yogurt however must have live cultures & low amounts of sugar.

What else?
