Point is.. the video quality is awesome! Obviously it’s not professional quality or anything, but for a tiny compact camera it’s pretty great :)

PowerShot SD780: Things to Love

• HD Video: I’ll try to post a video soon so you can see why I love it so much. This is my favorite part of this camera~ the video quality is crazy wonderful! The mic isn’t that great (can’t hear much), but that isn’t anything I personally am too concerned with.
• Easy to use: I love taking pictures of Sora & Kairi, but I’m definitely not trying to be photographer status about it. I just want to be able to press a button and magically have a great photo of them. With this camera, it is seriously that simple. But for those times when I feel like being a little more creative than that, the various settings and controls (again, easy to use) make it effortless.
• Sexy!: Tiny & gold.. need I say more?
• Editing in camera: You can do a bunch of things to edit your photo while it’s still in the camera (i.e. rotate, crop, adj. contrast, red eye correction, etc.) I enjoy this because it’s more convenient for me than opening a photo editing software once it’s on my computer.
• Cheap: Well not cheap, but worth every penny. $200 is a great price. Trust me, I work at BestBuy & before it went on sale it was $210 with my employee discount.. meaning that two hundred dollars is the manufacture price. (btw I bought mine from NewEgg.com - I refuse to support a company that underpays me for all of my hard work).
• More & more: Honestly, everything about this camera is awesome. If you’re looking to buy a new point & shoot camera– this is the one.

I bought if from StepsForPets.com, an awesome website that sells pet furniture for crazy cheap! This one was $135 total. Yeah that’s a lot of money, but a great deal none-the-less. I’d definitely recommend this site for anyone else who loves to spoil their cats like I do

Here’s a nice little costume makeup tutorial from Michelle Phan. I’m not really a big fan of her.. she seems too cocky, but none-the-less she does have some really great makeup & skin care tutorials (this being one of those). Definitely am not going to do this for my halloween costume, but I’m sure I’ll use it as inspiration. I really like the idea of sticking flowers on my face

A big art event is held in Las Vegas on the first Friday of each month, hence it’s name First Friday. How clever, right? I haven’t been in over a year so I was pretty excited to go this month. I like art & appreciate real art, but I was really disappointed yesterday. Honestly, hardly anything I saw felt like it had a meaning or concept (aside from making money). Yes, I believe in “l’art pour l’art”  but come on- making some bullshit painting and selling it to make a couple grand isn’t my idea of “l’art.” Art, real art, is much more than that. Even if the artist’s motive is as simple to create something they believe beautiful & to share that beauty with the world, then fine I’ll gladly consider that to be art. It just irritates me to see all the things money can destroy..

Anyway– I’m thinking too deeply about this. Besides it wasn’t all bad.

9/23 Went to MGM to see KA with my dad

9/24 Was serenaded “Happy Birthday” by two of my managers

9/25 MY BDAY! Went out for sushi with a few of my favorite people & did some shopping at Planet Hollywood

9/26 Got a giant HUGH JACKMAN poster thing from work!! I’ll consider that as a bday gift (I’ll take a picture soon to show you guys)

9/27 Ate at the Cheesecake Factory with my mom & sisters and went to Forum Shops @ Caesars Palace

It was a nice, long birthday week :)
